With the availability of internet-based
testing platforms, un-proctored testing is
used increasingly to screen candidates for
employment, certify employees in various
skills, and identify developmental strengths
and weaknesses of employees. Un-proctored
testing has many advantages including
broadening the applicant pool and reducing
costs. However, significant risks are also
attendant including the problems of
candidate identity and cheating.
Nancy will discuss the pros and cons of
un-proctored testing as well as potential
solutions that enable organizations to
effectively use the technology available.
She will also address the responsibilities
of staffing professionals to the
organization and the individual candidate.
