PERSONALITY OF EXECUTIVES AND MANAGERS:
Career Interests, Choice, Progression and
Success
Deniz S. Ones, Ph.D. from the University
of Minnesota, will expand on the idea that
personality predicts both occupational
preference and job success.
The role of personality in four areas
will be explored: Which personality
attributes
- Relate to interests in management in
general and interests in executive jobs in
particular;
- Distinguish between managers and
executives;
- Relate to progressing across
managerial levels and rising to executive
positions; and
- Predict executive job performance?
Broad-based empirical data will be offered
in support of assessing personality in
executive talent identification, selection
and placement.
